| Why should you choose massage for your horse? Easy! Our horses deserve the highest level of care we can give them! Today our horses are under tremendous pressure to perform on a daily basis. |
Whether for pleasure or performance we ask for excellence from our equine partners. Regardless of your riding discipline your horse will benefit greatly from massage therapy. Massage for horses is much the same as it is for humans. It’s all about wellness, healing, rehabilitation and relaxation. The goal is to meet the emotional and physical and sometimes the spiritual need of each horse as an individual. They are as unique as each of us, so why would we treat them any different? I believe that massage needs to be tailored to fit the situation. |

How will I know it’s working? You can visibly see the releases that your horse will experience. Yawning, licking, chewing, stretching, the glazed look in their eyes or just a totally relaxed look will indicate to you that massage therapy is working for them. You may even notice some areas of the body that appear sweaty. This is where toxins are being released. But the greatest reward will be feeling the benefit in your next ride. |
So, what do I offer you?As a Licensed Massage Therapist and having my certification in multiple modalities including Equine Sports Massage Certification, I bring the experience of being in the field on a daily basis. I have studied several different practitioners' methods and my heart’s desire is to treat the whole horse. So, I incorporate what I feel is important to give your horse what they need. I am also a Healing Touch for Animals Practitioner and have found this modality to be a very valuable tool in my work. For more on my background please see the “About Me” page. |
